Racing fuel shelf life

My neighbor is in the process of restoring a Mopar Hemi car. With the surge in prices, he's apparently decided to sell it. That leaves a couple 55 gal. drums of race fuel in his garage. He's offered them to me for what he paid - about $250/drum. I would be mixing the fuel with premium unleaded in my '66 427/390 and '69 350/350.

The drums have been sealed and stored in his dark garage on wooden blocks for about two years. Will the fuel still be good?

Depends if he put any storage additive in it. I'd buy 5 gallons and try it first...

I pump 93 gas for my 68 327/350 with 11:1 original engine and have no ignition problems using fresh fuel. Have never had to use any additives.

if the drums are sealed so the light ends could not evaporate it should be fine.

Jim,
What is your total timing setting ? I've read enough on this subject to be more confused than usual. I have the same engine as yours, but have yet to start it up from the rebuild, so trying to figure out if I need an octane booster at a certain total timing setting is something I have to learn. Any information about this would be very much appreciated.
