Found out a few days ago that the correct light bulb according to the owners manual and the Corvette Servicing Guide for a 55-60 front parking/signal light and the rear tail/signal light is #1034. When I removed mine from my 60 there were a combination of bulbs #1157 and #2057 installed. These were probably put in around 15 years ago, as I have not touched these bulbs since I have had the car. I understand that #1034, #1057 and #2057 will all fit in the socket and look almost identical. My question is what is the brighter bulb? Did #1057 and #2057 bulbs come along later and are they the replacement for the #1034? I would like to change mine to the correct 1034 but if the 1057 and 2057 is brighter, maybe that would be the better thing to do. Any opinions on what anyone else has done with this bulb issue? I understand that all three bulbs are still available.
