    1960 C1 Windsheild installation

    Thanks for all your input on my prior questions, but now I have more to add;

    1. One member told me to remove the stainless off of the top channel then re-install once the four members are inplace around the glass, has anyone else done this? (no hard felings, Larry, just want another opinion) I am concerned about the edge that is now so nicely crimped to the channel, if I will be able to acheive the same "accceptable" look after removal when re-installing.

    2. Is a potion of the dash pad rear lip intended to be under the winsheild frame??

    Thanks in advance for your input,
    Peter

    1. If I remember correctly, you need remove the stainless header piece from the upper windshield frame. The stainless piece is difficult to remove and replace ver the upper frame piece, but it can be done, a few inches at a time. The stainless header only catches the outside edge of the upper windshield frame piece, not the inside edge. The inside edge of the stainless sort of "floats" after the exterior front edge is snapped into place.
