    '69 seat belts

    My '69 roadster has only lap belts which need to be restored or replaced. The cost seems to be similar, and if I send the originals for restoration, I'll be sans car for a couple of months. Opinions?

      The webbing, for one, is slightly different in the reproductions. Depends if you are just fixing a driver or a Top Flight car.

          Hello!! I would send the seatbelts out to SSNAKE-OYL products in TX (800)284-7777 for re-webbing & rechroming. Have had 14 sets done by them and they do beautiful work. They will send you a quote prior to repair but must see your belts' condition. While they are out, purchase a set of "replacement belts in black/etc." at any Murrays/Auto Parts Store for about $15-$25. That way you can still enjoy your Vette over the summer!!! Good Luck!

              Send only one and keep driving the 69, send the other one when the restored one comes back.
