    Non Corvette: Best chrome polish/cleaner?

I am trying to revive a set of chrome wheels for a daily driver. The wheels have a rust-like residue on the surface and in the crevices, but can be rubbed out with A LOT of elbow grease and Mother's mag polish. Rather than spending 2 hours on each wheel, does anywone have a "wonder product," menthod or concoction to suggest to cut down the work?

Dan, I have used soap and water with aluminum foil. It is a good natural abrasive and removes rust relatively easily. David Nims member 19639

SemiChrome - a German made product...available in motorcycle shops and most auto part stores. An excellent, low abrasive, polishing paste tht I've used with excellent results on every chrome and aluminum part of my BMW Motorcycle. Doing the same on my '74 Coupe.

SemiChrome is very agressive. If you have some light rust it will work very well. If the chrome is in really good condition I would NOT use it. Like I said it's too agressive.
