    (C2)Those funny little "X" clips that hold.....

    .. the dash pads onto the fiberglass structure are hard to remove. What is the best way to open these up? What about the two down below where the radio is set, how about those? There must be a special tool. I have been using a flat, small screwdriver to access some of them. Thank you!

    Sir:

    Small screwdriver blade, them progressively larger blades. Push & twist. Use a right angle screw driver on those others. Expect that some will be weak on re-install, especially if you open and close them more than once. They are Zinc die cast and weaken when flexing.

    Ideally take the whole dash with the humps right out for easy access to everything and anything. Once the 1/4-20 bolts across the top are removed, just 10 pop rivets on the ends and popping 2 small lumps of fiberglass adhesive to the underbody are all it takes.
