Steve, like Mick Jagger said..."You don't always get, what you want". Sometimes you have to settle for what you can find.

For restoration purposes, perfectly adequate references are:
70 Corvette Assembly Instruction Manual,
70-72 NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide,
68-72 Fact Book of the 1968-1972 Stingray, by M. F. Dobbins (Lots of B&W photos),
70 Corvette Chassis Service Manual (timely use will save you grief),
Corvette Chassis Restoration Guide, by Joseph A Tripoli, Jr.,

and most importantly...one original, unmolested, "unrestored" 1970 Corvette. Most, if not all of the above books will be at the NCRS store header tab.

There are some nice color shots of early sharks in the book called, The sports car color history Corvette 1968-1982 by Mike Mueller.
