When braking hard the first time, my car sometimes pulls to the left, but not always. When braking hard the second time (immediate after the first) it never pulls. I replaced the master cylinder, calipers and rotors about 5 years ago. What should I be looking for to fix this? Thanks, Jim

Re: C3 - brakes pulling
Jim------
The first thing that I'd do is to check for a brake fluid leak from one of the caliper piston seals causing brake fluid to contaminate one or more of the pads. Usually, this is what causes the condition that you describe. Stainless steel sleeved CALIPERS usually last nearly forever; the pistons and the pistons seals DO NOT LAST FOREVER.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Right flex line or lack of brake fluid
Might just be that the right caliper has trapped air in it and it takes that extra pump to get the right side pistons "loaded up"
The right side flex line would be plan "B" I think.
Both sides should get a hard look see regardless.
And remember as it's been stated many times before, if it's the flex line, do both sides as the left will be close behind
Good luck,

Re: C3 - brakes pulling
Jim,
Before stepping on the brake pedal for that first time I would jack the car and compare the drag by turning both front wheels by hand. It the left one has considerably more drag than the right you may have a cocked piston in that caliper which can also cause a pull the first time you apply the brakes.
