C2 Tri- Power Air Cleaner Base

Are there two different bases for 67-69 air cleaners having one tab or two tabs to attach to the carbs? Are the earlier bases made with only one attaching tab? Thanks.

Jack, each end carberator has a designated tab that attaches the air cleaner base to the air horn with a black oxide finished bolt. Usually one of the two tabs is broken off because the tack welding that holds them to the base is not really that strong. Once broken off they are rarely replaced because the tabs are not sold as a seperate piece and the center carberator, with its threaded shaft and wing nut is enough to hold the whole air cleaner assembly securely.
