Running on Grappa
Duke,
I was wondering why the Wine Institute would be involved as a supporter of AB2683. It couldn't be that classic cars are effecting the grape crop? Geez, you can buy a case of pretty good wine now for 24 bucks.
Maybe they are thinking about teaming up with the petroleum guys and the concerned engineers, and are coming up with a new fuel- Grappa. It's pretty potent stuff, I've tried some 135 proof (but not in my vette).
And then again, maybe it's that old BMW attitude.
The campaign may be over tomorrow, but if not, we will continue to lobby.

Well, I'm sure that the wine institute has documented scientific evidence that emissions from vintage cars are degrading the wine crop and affecting the quality of California wine.
