I just recieved a new armrest cover from Corvette America.
The old cover had holes punched on the long sides and nylon string laced like a shoe string to hold it on.
The new cover has no holes. The armrest assembly has a steel base so I assume folding the material and stapling is out of the question.
Is it intended to be folded and glued?
Yep! Sounds like a plan to me. Do a practice run or two and get the lay of the land before using the glue. 3M General Upholstery Cement will do the job along with a large dose of patience.
