Purchased some repro rocker panels for my '64 driver from Corvette America for $300.00. This was a steep price to pay but the panels on the car were in poor shape and were from a '65. I wasn't encouraged when the salesperson told me "not to expect the same quality as an original". I really wasn't encouraged when I noticed the sticker on the back reading "Made in China". The exterior appearance had some surface irregularites/imperfections as I expected. Worse yet, only about half of the tabs line up properly with the mounting brackets underneath and the holes in each end didn't line up with those in the fiberglass body. In my opinion this stuff is barely acceptable for a driver and definitely not for a pristine car, especially at this price. Anyone purchasing a mid-year had better really pay attention to the condition of the rocker panels since it appears that quality repros aren't available. Is there anyone out there that's making quality rockers in-house? Corvette Central? Paragon? LICS? Any input is appreciated. I'm tired of buying poor-fitting Chinese junk.

I cannot speak for this particular part, but I do know that on some items there are two sources. Usually the one that is cheaper is an "offshore" repro. Not always, mind you, but most of the time. Caveat EmptorDick Whittington- Top

I believe that Corvette America has the market cornered on rockers at this time but someone will come out with rockers. I would not expect them to be made in the USA unless they cost upwards of a thousand a set.
Sorry about the revealing truth but-------
