'67 BIG BLOCK DIST ADVANCE REPLACEMENT

Is there enough clearance to replace the distributor advance without removing the ignition shielding on a '67 big block?

You need to get the distributor cap all the way out of the way, which you nay or may not be able to do with the shielding on. The biggest problem ( I assume you are changing only the vacuum advance can) will be to get the screws you have to take out back in as you will be working in a fairly deep hole. I recommend the purchase of a small screwdriver with a self holding mechanism for the screw if you don't already own one.
