Does anyone know if, and where I can get a reproduction buckle insert for a 67 RCF-65 seat belt buckle. It's the one in the photo (lower right)with the bowtie on it. As you can see, this one is in bad shape, although restorable.
The other is worst and the bowtie is distorted.

I would suggest contacting Ssnake-Oyl Products. They are one of the largest, if not the largest, seat belt restorer. If they can't supply them or tell you where you can obtain them, probably no one can.
Please let me know if the color of the bowtie in the photo is right to your 67 seat buckles. After going through six bottles of OPI nail polish, model paint, Crysler and Ford touch up paint, I finally mixed two spray cans of Rustoleum Denim Blue and Duplicolor Royal Blue to get to this color.
Honest, if the color is not right, let me know, I'll continue to experiment. This is the insert from my previous post after a Sunday afternoon. It's not perfect yet, but it's getting there with the rest of the buckle. If there is another paint formula out there, also let me know.
Joe, the number on it at the top of the photo is 162 upside down.
