69 C3 stereo speaker?

in a 69 convertible, where do the front and rear stereo speakers mount? different dash pad? kick pannels? what about the rear ones?

The speakers for the RPO U-69 radio or the U-79 stereo radio were exactly the same. They were installed behind the front floor kick panels and they were 4" X 10" speakers. There were NO rear speakers EVER originally installed in any 68-69 Corvette.

In 1970, the upper dash pad included perforated holes on each end to accomodate the radio speakers. They no longer were mounted in the lower kick panels. If you used a '70 thru '72 upper dash pad, you could possibly mount 4 speakers in factory locations, although this would not be factory correct for any '68 thru '72 corvette.
