I'm considering buying a 71 LT-1. Does anyone know of a knowledgeable inspector near Scottsdale, Arizona? Has anyone had any good luck with any of the Internet inspection companies?

Why don't you try contacting the Southwest Chapter. They're a great bunch and I believe have some Shark guys who could help. Their web site is www.ncrs.org/southwest.

If no one from the Southeast chapter can help, you might try Howard's Corvettes in Mesa. He is a repair shop but VERY knowledgeable in what we look for. I say this because I bought a car that he was selling for a friend. Howard looked the car over, put it on his lift and then spent the next three hours showing me the virtues of this particular car. I have the utmost trust in him. As a side note, there is at least one fairly well known shop Scottsdale that sells. I won't comment on line but if you want to contact me off line, I will give you my experience with them.
