C2 Fan Clutch - Original or Repro

I pulled this from my '65 327 and stored it flange down and all of the fluid leaked out of it...... Can anyone tell me if this is an original or an Eaton replacement?

    flange side:

This looks like an original-configuration Eaton unit. However, during the 1965-70 period, the Eaton units were mostly used for big block applications. The Sweitzer type clutches were mostly used for small block applications. However, some Eaton clutches were used on small blocks and yours may have been one of them.

I agree with Brother Joe...that's the real McCoy. Why? Look at the face and observe the 'bulges' adjacent to the center bi-metal coil are essentially square/rectangular in shape. Later era service spare clutch faces expanded the fluid reservoirs and the 'bulges' became trapezoidal in shape.

I disagree that there was a particular 'bent' for Eaton (coil) vs. Schwitzer (bar) in SB vs. BB applications. The AIM books generally call out two or more (later Delco Remy would build a 'copy' of the Eaton coil clutch in Shark era) part numbers for the fan clutch (you can see this as a second or third P/N listed with an OPT note). Plant purchasing was free to use any approved source for a given part....
