    Camshaft Crane Grind #272H10 Pt#100052

I bought a 73 350 with this cam and it acts like it is loaded up except when you run it hard. I was going to rebuild the carb to improve the idle but what can I expect from this cam? Is this cam going to lope along with a stock exhaust? Heads are stock. It is called an ENTERGIZER 1957-1987 Chev. V-8 262-400 CU.IN. Lyle

    Lyle,
This camshaft will produce a mild lope at idle, even with a properly calibrated carburetor and stock exhaust. If you don't like the lope and want more low rpm torque you might consider going back to the OEM camshaft or using a Crane HMV260-2 or a Comp Cams XE262H. Both of the aftermarket camshafts will provide a smooth idle and improved torque over the OEM camshaft.
