1979 Corvette Fan Rotation

Has anyone ever heard of a Corvette fan turning counter clockwise? I recently changed the battery in my newly purchased 1979...when I started the motor with the hood up, the fan indeed was turning counter clockwise. I've heard this is rare and I've heard that I'm crazy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mine spins normal. Were you under fluorescent lights? Sometimes the strobe effect of them can make objects seem to move and often in the wrong direction.

Is this the stock mechanical fan driven by the water pump pulley with the conventional belt set up?

When you say counter clockwise are you viewing the fan from behind or in front?

If this is a mechnical fan and you are viewing from the rear, AND you have a one speed forward and four speed reverse gearbox, you may have a one of a kind marine engine Corvette. Al Corelli might be able to advise on marinizing the remainder of the car.
