1965-66 POWER ANTENNA
A power antenna listed on e-Bay for a 65-66 list the part number as 3994187 and claim to be in original box. The AIM says for 66 it was 3864187. Looks like original but wonder about numbers. Is it a GM replacement since these types were only used on 65-66?- Top

The thing about GM part numbers is that they
change every time something is added to the assembly. If the AIM and the boxed antenna don't have exactly the same number of parts AND exactly the same parts, the will have different part numbers. For NCRS purposes, the important numbers are on the case of the power antenna. The APPEARANCE has to be the same, not the part number. - Dave- Top

eBay POWER ANTENNA
If it's eBay Item #560870155 in which the seller states the Group number as 0.645 this may be a type-O. As the actual group numbers is 9.645. 0.000 groups are engine and clutch parts and 0.645 doesn't exist there in that time frame.
The over the counter part number was 986305 (note only 6 digits) which was removed from service 5/67.
The part number the seller quotes might be from an accessories catalog. I didn't dig to find it.
The antenna in the photo does not appear to be even close to an original in my opinion.- Top

Re: eBay POWER ANTENNA
I looked at the picture on eBay. The picture shows the antenna in the "down-position".....and that picture depicts the down positioned shaft to be too short......(but pictures can be deceiving.) Would suggest contacting the seller and getting the actual length of the shaft from the top of the body bezal to the end of the (described) 5-sided tip and compare that to the dimensions listed in the Judging Manual.- Top
