Engine and Head ID

Can anyone help me with the ID of an engine I have?
The block is #3956618; build date a69(Jan 6, 1969?);front pad v0111 wk; heads #3890462 1 96. This will be the tough one I have no idea about the cam it has # cv12-3 on the end of it.

The heads are likely not original to this block as they are mid 1966 date and were usually reserved for 300+ horsepower motors.

How did you decipher the head numbers? How were able to tell they were mid-60's?

Anyone able to offer any insight to what the cam may be using the #'s stamped on the end of it?

that casting # for the heads was used from 1967 to 1969 on 302,327 and 350 cu in SBC engines. i can find nothing on the cam number. go to "google" and type in the number with the word to discribe the item,ie block,head or camshaft and see what shows up
