I examined my original 73 gas tank and I don't see any logo's stamped in or any manufacturers ID on it. It's still on the rolling chassis so I can see most of it.
So what's with this Anderson logo thing?
I'm gonna replace the tank. It looks rusty on the outside but doesn't leak and looks OK on the inside. So I might as well replace it.

Steve, this link shows what the logo looks like. Go down the page, click on "Corvette", then look on the top right side of the window. I can't rmember exactly where the logo is located on the tank (I think it's on top, and not visible installed)...If it's on there, it should be obvious.
Thanks Chuck,
I don't think you posted the link. But I remember seeing the logo in Quanta ads.
I have the body off, so the tank is exposed but still mounted on the rolling chassis. I looked all over it but still don't see a logo. I know absolutely that this is the original tank.
Maybe the logo is hidden by a straps or the rubber liners. I thought that someone would know exactly where this logo is so that I could varify it.
I'm going to Carlysle with my list of parts to get and the tank is one of them.
I was wondering if the logo does actually exist on a 73

On my 70 tank, the logo is on the BOTTOM of the tank as Wayne said, but is beside the gas guage sender. The gas gauge sender is on the passenger side of the tank. The logo is almost on the centerline of the tank (offset 3/4"-1" to the driver side) and about 5"-6" back from the front of the tank. The circle enclosing the big A is about 1.5" in diameter. The script inside the circle is right-side-up read from the rear of the car.
Quanta (link below, I promise. ) shows the logo being on 70-74 tanks, but 73s are outside of my area of specialty. Go down, click "Corvette".
