COOLING SYSTEM CAPACITY

Can someone pls advise the cooling capacity spec, in quarts, for a '64 327/365. Thanks!

Fred:

Your engine, WITH heater has a total cap of 15 quarts, as follows:

1. 3 quarts EACH side of the block. This can only be drained by removing BOTH drain plugs.

2. 9 quarts for the balance, including rad, upper part of engine, etc, etc.

I don't know about "heater delete" , but the erronious shop manual, and the erroneous owners manual both list a 1 qt deficit here.

How do I know? Empirically.

Thanks Joe. My heater is blocked off, so will assume a capcity of 14 quarts with BOTH sides of the block drained. Fred
