Last time I checked it was correct to touch up with orange paint the top of the front engine mount bolts, washers, nuts and a portion of the ground straps. Is it still concidered a practice that St. Louis did that back in the 50's?

Re: 57' Front Engine Mount Bolts/Nuts
I was told that the only engine orange paint in the whole factory was at the point on the line where the engine was shimmed and installed. When the mount bolts were torqued with the engine installed correctly, a one inch wide paint brush was used to "swipe" orange over the ends of the bolts, washers, nuts, and straps. One swipe was all it took!
