    '70 LT1 Diverter Valve

I have a friend who just finished the restoration of his 1970 Z28 with the LT1 motor. The diverter valve on the A.I.R. system just died and we have been unable to find one through the usual sources. The part has been discontinued. Does anyone have a source where we can acquire one? Thanks.....P.J.

        PJ-----

My recollection is that the 70 Z-28 valve is different than the 70 Corvette valve. I'm away from home right now, so I can't check it, though.

You could try Crane's or Corvette Shop in Shingle Springs, CA. I have a '67 big block diverter valve I would part with (an extra I found when assembling my small block system)but I don't think it works for you. There is also a place in and around Virginia- name escapes me who does aluminum restoration and alot of Z work. This stuff is tough to find.

Try Bill Hodel, Massillon, Ohio, (330) 832-0871; if he doesn't have it, nobody will.
