    C2 Alternator Terminal Boot-Thanks JohnH

I posted on this subject a couple of weeks ago. In other words where to find one?? The usual GM-discontinued. John H said he would send me one free of charge. It arrived today. My sincere thanks, John! It's soaking in WD-40 right now. Will find a graceful place on my 1967 tomorrow!

          Re: Why WD-40?

John had suggested that WD30 will keep the rubber supple and avoid rot.

            John H ??

In general I am reluctant to question John's advice, but
I have several cans of WD-40 - some older, some newer - All of them say "Contains Petroleum Distillates."
Generally we suggest that petroleum distillates are bad for rubber products.
There may be more to the story -- maybe that boot isn't rubber, but inquiring minds want to know.

It's definately what Vetteheads.com is about. I believe that John is a founding member.

                WD-40 works better than

                ether for starting engines.

                  Re: WD-40 works better than

Because WD-40 uses propane for a propellant.

                    Re: John H ??

I have to profess sincere apologies. It was not JohnH who sent the part to me. It was another JH. I regret any embarrassment I have caused to both parties. Nevertheless the boot turned out very nicely.

Then it sounds like John H would make a great Vettehead.
