    69 side exhaust question

the rear valance pannel would look like what? im assume it still has a seam/gap between the removable valance and the quarter pannels, but it would be a straight line up/down. where as the rear exhaust has a quarter circle cut out of each. also is there something else that needs to be trimmed on the front fender well to accomodate the inlet pipe?
    thanks, dick

Reference t******* on the front fender well. When I installed the 69 style factory side exhaust on my 70 I did trim a small area that has been reinstalled after removing the side exhaust. I would recommend changing the exhaust pipe, making it flatter on top to give clearance from the fiberglass fender. There was not that much of my fender removed, only a small amount to give adequate air clearance for the hot exhaust pipe.

      Dick:

That is correct, for the rear valence panel. I put side exhaust on a '71 coupe. I used an NOS original rear '69 side exhaust panel and cut up a used rear panel to fill the quarter panel portion cut out for conventional exhaust and to make the edge to fasten up against the valence panel edge (uses to bolts on each end to attach quarter panel to valence panel. When I was done, it appeared absolutely factory correct.
