I just read the amendments and am now completely confused. They have seemed to have tighened up the requlations with defining collector cars over 35 years old. What a useless over-regulation. The application of the bill is now totally up to the regulators. Shouldn't the departments and legislators be spending there time on more important topics, instead of getting down to micro-management.

Rest assured, if the bill finally passes the Senate (its not finally passed at this time), I will write the Governor, send him my cartoon, and comment on the waste in time and money in over-regulation in California. How much do you think it cost the taxpayers in California, to prepare the studies, and to consider this f'en useless over-regulation which will do nothing to address air pollution. Just cost people money.

At least I got my Senator turned around, if you look at the vote.

Well, it DID pass! Yesterday! Look at the "Votes" section of the web page. That's what this "FLASH!" thread is about. I just posted a political analysis at:

Maybe I shouldn't be suprised, but the vote was virtually right down party lines. The entire Republican Caucus voted "NOE", and the entire Democrat Caucus voted "AYE" with one exception - the Democrat Senator who represents my district!

It takes some courage to break party ranks, and I have sent my complements and regards for her support of vintage car owners on this issue.
