This is my trim tag , my 67 is Lynnadle blue #977 having a black interior , but the trim tag is #420.(pic) The book said #402, #418 or #455 was the color option. The seats are leather. I'm the second owner and know for a fact that the interior is all original. So what about this??
Yes I have the option tissue box and this 67 is the so called Bogus BB hood on a SB Corvette.
Plus I now also have a screwed up trim tag.
Mistakes happened, But, more interesting is the...
hood thing. Your car fits the alleged production window for the BB substitution. If you are convinced that the car is original, can you, or the first owner provide documentation for the BB hood?
Re: Mistakes happened, But, more interesting is th
A letter from me or the original owner means nothing as many others have stated,
(with out G.M Documentation =paper work) no one will believe it. My odd Vin # was wrote up by Noland which in turn started all this discussion. I don't care about any of this , I don't enter NCRS judging, but did have it first flighted over 20 years ago in Bend Or. Which again started all this mess and really don't care ether way.
(Just interesting) I've had many original unique corvettes over the years and again don't need any more judgmental comments.I drive and enjoy my cars now as most people do.
I never Have or would sale a Corvette to a die hard Corvette person, or Ford or Olds person , been there , and don't need the stress.
And I don't need the comments some think of this position, you do your thing and I do mine.
Let me say this again I think NCRS is great and one of the best clubs around and "most" members are also.

I agree. I'm fairly new to this, but I'm finding out what's fun and what's not for me. Driving is fun. Working on the cars is fun. This board is fun. But having a car with serial 12345 is priceless. Must be my engineer brain, but I love things like that. Plus, it's easy to remember.

Roy,
I put 5k on my 67 last year. Now I had some long trips that I don't think I repeat again this year but you never know. In fact put a little over 200mi this week and have the sun burned face and neck to prove it. It must be a guy thing don't thnk my wife will agree to a trip in the Vette again any time soon, she said driving it might be fun but riding isn't. It was hot about 80 and we drove from LA up 1 and 101 to Santa Barbara, took it out on the pier and hit every town in between damn I love driving that car.
What color is your 67 and the vin# that is neat also. You know some vetts run good , but my 67 327-350hp goes like a rocket and runs out so nice I even hate to change spark plugs thinking I might screw something up. I added PB and Vintage Air but nothing els for over 25 years.
The car was an original sunflower yellow car, but it is now the 67 maroon. It is an original 435 horse car and I have the tank sticker to prove it. Besides the leather, it has power windows, tinted glass (all glass), factory side exhaust, and a 4 speed close ratio. I have had the car for 27 years and absolutly love it. I have only been married three years longer than I have had the car. Running a big block side exhaust car with a 4 speed is a joy. I am in the process of doing a body on refresh. Roy, It is nice to know others have had thier cars a long time. It is kind of funny to think what we paid for them 25-27 years ago. I have spent more money this year on the car than what I paid for it 27 years ago. Your car must be like a family member. I am happy for you. As another funny thing, I once had a 59 vin# 48 built on the first day or two or producton in late 1958, and a friend of mine had a 57 built in the first part of 1958. His 57 and my 59 were both built in 58. Go figure. Enjoy your friend. Jon
