What is known about a replacement engine block, with an engine suffix of CE?

Scott the replacement block with a CE is what was most likely put into your 69 Corvette. The 69 Corvette had a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty.
Following the CE which is "Chevrolet Engine" should be some numbers. The numbers indicate the numbering of the CE engines as produced.
I am sure I have the record for the quickest engine failure. My 70's engine did not last 20 minutes after I picked it up at the dealership buying it off the showroom floor.
The CE engine in your 69 should be the same type of engine block that was originally in your 69. Check out the casting date code at the back of the block and you can determine approximately when the CE engine was installed if it makes any difference to you.
