C2 1966 Holley only leaks in one place!

I have a leak at the top of the rear float bowl; the round plug thingy is actually loose. I can stop the leak by holding my finger on the top, but it's not possible to do that and enjoy driving at the same time.

Seriously, what is the best fix for this? I have another float bowl, but this is the only place this particular carburetor leaks. I'd like to salvage this float bowl. It looks better than the other one.

I have a Holley float bowl that leaks at the same place. I had a spare Holley, so I just used a float bowl from it. I had read of using J-B Weld to repair the infamous leak in Q-Jet carbs and see no reason it would not work on the Holley fuel bowl. If I have to use my leaking Holley float bowl some time later I plan on using it.

If the leak is a threaded fitting you can use Permatex 81668, Stripped Thread Repair. I have used it on carbs for over 20 years. Loctite (same parent company as Permatex) has a similar product, but I cannot find the p/n at this time.

If you are talking about the plug that ison the drivers side of the float bowl near where the fuel tubegoes in. I had the same problem, I wire brushed the old sealer of and drained the bowl of gas and resealed with JB Weld. I used a razor blade to apply and smoothed right out looks like it was done at the factory.
