Here is a question, does anybody know if there are/were 1962 Corvette Engine Repair Service manuals published in French that I can buy. I just need the basics for my mechanic in France like torque specs, etc. I live part of the year in France and shipped my 62 here after having it restored in the USA. It overheated after a radiator hose broke requiring replacement of head gaskets. Thanks

Re: C1: French language repair manual
I've never heard of anything other than an english language manuals. Can't imagine it being worth anyone's while to translate them into another language, given the extremely limited demand.
Might be easier for you to just translate the pages he needs.- Top

Re: C1: French language repair manual
I would assume that in the Quebec region of Canada (they have an excellent NCRS Chapter) there would be plenty of Chevy Engine Repair / Service manuals available. Chevy has been selling cars and trucks in that market since the beginning of time, so I would start my search there.
Good Luck,

I should have stated above that
I was speaking as a lifelong resident of Quebec (thanks for the compliment on our chapter web site, I'll pass that along) who worked as a student in a GM dealership at the time when straight axles were still fairly new cars and midyears were under warranty. I used to drool at the chrome bumper sharks rolling off the delivery truck.
There were no French language GM manuals that I ever saw. Snap On catalogues and girly calenders yes, GM manuals no.
This same dealership is still in business under the same name, and still has the hard copy parts catalogues in the back room.- Top
