I should know this but can't recall - when did big block motors transition from the cannister to spin-on oil filters? Did late 427's use spin-on ('68/'69)?
Thanks for the replies guys - I also searched the archives (which I should have done first...) and they indicate 1968 model year as start of spin-on filters, with the possible exception of a very early car which might have received a '67 engine.
We had a discussion on this topic with Joe Lucia at Carlisle this year, and the 68 was the first year, with the PF 29 filter for 68. PF 25 came later....Craig
