I have a casting #5468309 master cylinder, with bleeders, stamped "HA" or "EA", that I removed from my '67 some time ago; I know this casting number when stamped "US" was used on '69 power disc brake Camaros. Anyone know what the usage of mine was?

I'll try to remember to check on this when I get home. The '309' master cylinder was actually used on some Corvettes alternately with the '346' master cylinder. Both are 1-1/8" bore master cylinders. However, at the moment, I don't know what the codes you mentioned applied to. They were NOT used for Corvette, though. That much I know.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thanks, Joe - would appreciate any application info you may have when the local supply of lobster and clams is exhausted and you return home to "information central" I just want to be able to describe its application(s) accurately when I offer it for sale; nice core, but I have no use for it.- Top

It's casting #5468309, and the stamped code on the semi-circular area at the front is either "HA" or "BA" after cleaning it up some more, and it has a deep-hole rear piston. I know this casting when stamped "US" was used on '69 Camaros with power disc brakes, but I don't know the application of this one.- Top

John-----
You're correct; the "US" coded master cylinder was used for 1969 Camaros with disc brakes. It was also used for 1969 Chevy II with disc brakes. The master cylinder assembly was originally known as GM #5463751.
The "BA" coded master cylinder was used for 1969 Chevelles with disc brakes. This master cylinder assembly was originally known as GM #5469399. The "Chevelle Guys" can be even crazier than "Corvette Guys". So, who knows, maybe you've got a "gold mine" there? In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
