Quadrajet numbers

Have three of these carbs, two are from 72 pickups, a 350 and a 400, this one is numbered

7040207 DA
1040

this numbering is on the main body about an inch from the Rochester Quadrajet embossing. Is the correct number on the carb that shows the date it was made and how is it read.

Don't know about the date code but the 7040207 was used on '70 L46 (350ci/350hp).

Off the top of my head, looks like the 104 day of 1970. April 14, 1970.

As Tom posted from a 1970 350/350 4-speed Rochester built QuadraJet.

The car is a 70 L-46 and I have to check back but seem to remember it was May or June build date. I wanted to be sure it had not been changed many years back when it was rebuilt.
