My 64 has the original belts and the passenger side is great. Drivers side has great belts with the label in great shape BUT... the buckle was repainted (poorly) black and is missing the bowtie. I can refinish the buckle but where can I get the round bowtie for the buckle. With 95 % of the belt in great condition I really don't want to have them reconditioned for $400.00. Besides these are the original belts. Any suggestions?

Re: 64 seat belts
Several of the corvette supply houses carry the bowtie emblem for the seat belts. See the attached link for Zip Products catalog page (If the link doesn't work just go to their web site). I replaced the ones on the seat belts for my 65 coupe. I think that you will find that the replacements will not be identical to the originals, so you might want to consider replacing the pair. SnakeOyl, who rebuilds seat belts will also (or would in the past) sell the emblems. There's might be a better match, but I'm not sure. Good Luck.

Re: 64 seat belts
If you are thinking about having your car Flight Judge, the Bowtie on the buckles are different and you will lost a point for them. Best thing to do is start calling around to people who restore seat belts and find (if you could a original set) Good luck!- Top
