    C1 leafspring liners

What material goes between the leafs of a C1, a 61 in this case, any changes over the years?

I had pulled the springs off a 61 and a 57 in the early 70s. The only liner material I saw was the 'wax impregnated carboard'. My 61 also has the cardboard liners. I haven't seen evidence of the cotton liners. Several reference books just mention cardboard.
I ordered liners and was sent the cotton type with brass ends. Looking in many catalogs they want to sell a kit that seems to include both the cotton and carboard liners in addition to bands.

Where can I get just cardboard liners?
Were the cotton liners also used in conjunction with the cardboard?

    Thanks,
    J

    Joe,
You can get just the cardboard liners (they come waxed with cloth wraped ends) from Paragon. Regards,
