What do the factory original heater delete block off plates, riveted onto the firewall on the passenger side of a 65 Coupe look like? Are they originally out of fiberboard like material, neatly trimmed where the air outlet for the gills is, with rivets of unfinished (appropriately corroded) aluminum? I think Greg's Hot Rod project might actually have an original part on it! We're trying to identify the bugger as factory or ...? Thanks, Juliet

Re: 65 Heater Delete Blockoff Plate ID
No Juliet,
Im sorry, but posotive that the plates involved were metal.Sounds as if someone a long time ago in another galaxy removed your heater and made up their own block-off plates. As well, they were not pop-riveted on,but attached with fasteners. The assembly manual will give you more insight into this area.Hope Ive helped in some small way...........
