Early C3 wiper arms

Are 68-73 wiper arms similar in configuration? I'm looking for a correct replacement set for my '73

1968 is not the same as later. 1968 was a one-year-only design as far as the wiper arms are concerned. As far as I know, they cannot be used on later models. Also, as far as I know, the 69-74 were the same, although I suppose it's possible that late 74 used the 75+ design. The 75-82 pieces became the SERVICE pieces for 69-74 and will retrofit to 69-74. They will not retrofit to 68, though.

Joe did the 68 have the metal washer tubes as I have about 50 examples and see no difference but all I ever bought was the metal tube type. The change over in 74 happened very eary and most 74's will have the rubber hoses for the washers.The TI&JG puts the change about vin 5000 or 5th-12th of Oct. 73. Lyle

'68 was unique in that it had no squirter tubes running alongside the wiper arms.

Yes, 1968 did not have the tubes. However, I think that there was some other functional difference between the 68 and later arms also. I've forgotten what it is, though.

Now you guys have me curious. I'm gunna have to dig out the box I have the original 68 wiper arms in to see what they look like. Now my 68 is a late production ( July 68) if that makes any difference.

Joe....Do you have a part number for the right side wiper arm for 69-74? I know my 74 had the "new" style, otherwise I would have exchanged them when I sold it.

The original PRODUCTION and SERVICE wiper arms for 69 were:

left side----GM #3956245
right side---GM #3956246

In late 1969 the right side arm was discontinued and replaced by GM #3965154. The 3956245 and 3965154 then continued to be used right through E1974.
