Can anyone direct me to someone that has access to old 2818 holleys that can be parted out? I live in Kansas and am missing several parts on my Holley and would like to make the carb complete for my L79. Am missing choke lever, thermostat housing, spring and retainer. If any one can help me with a name or group that is close or local, please do.............thanks kirby

Re: C2 holley parts needed
I think I know which parts you're talking about.
If by "choke lever" you mean the plastic arm that includes the fast idle cam, it is still available new from Holley through its retail distributors such as Jeg's. However, it is now made of red plastic instead of the original tan stuff. This is the only 2818 choke part still sold by Holley.
The choke cover with bimetallic coil is available new from Dr. Rebuild under part #3752518. He also sells the retainer ring with screws under part #3752522.
Sometimes these parts come up for sale in good used condition on eBay, but not very often.- Top

Holley parts; new parts differ in obvious ways
Joe,
I was also told that Chicago Corvette was a good source for Holley parts, but beware that some of the Holley parts that you can get do not look like the original parts. For example, I've been trying to find the light tan plastic choke cam for my '66 3367 carb and I got one from Alf at Chicago Corvette, but it turns out it's the one that Holley sells now and it's nearly black in color, not light tan. Some of these parts are becoming impossible to find in original form. Even the primo Holley rebuilders like Jerry MacNeish and Jerry Luck can't get some of the "correct" original Holley parts any more.

Re: C2 holley parts needed
Joe,
Try www.batteryignition.com. They are in Manchester, CT although you can e-mail them. They found me an original metering block for a 3810, and shipped it to California.
Also try e-bay motors under parts and accessories, search for Holley carb 2818 in the description. You mignt be able to pick one up for the parts. I found equivalent 3810 fuel bowls from another model.
On the choke lever, thermostat housing, spring and retainer, you can get these parts from Paragon.
