C2 choke coil part #

Would someone advise the GM choke coil number for a 66 300HP? My AIM manual only lists the assy number including cover. As I surf ebay I want to be sure to get the right coil.

The choke thermostat originally used for your application is GM #3887148. If you scour eBay for this rare part, no telling what you'll have to pay. A bidding war could drive the price up to the stratosphere on this one. As an alternative, though, you could just go down to your friendly GM dealer and order it. You see, it's still available under the original part number for about 21 bucks, GM list.

Did 65 FI cars use a different choke coil? Does someone know the part # and if it is still available?

Thanks for the tip. One just bid today and I wasn't sure it was the right one. $118 bid. Thanks you just saved me some bucks.

Rochester FI systems use a completely different type of choke than the one described for a 1966 carbureted car. The 63-65 FI choke and cover assembly, GM #7029542, was unique to that application. It was discontinued without supercession in August, 1971.
