I am inspecting a 66 427/390 coupe that has the hood support on the drivers side. I have looked at others that have it on the passenger side. Which is correct?
The car also has a mirror on the passenger side. Was this ever an option or was it added later?
I would appreciate anyones help.

Hood support for BB hood moved from RH position ('65 396 cars) to the LH side in '66 along with subtle changes in the hood (front accent emblem) and inner fenders. All cars left the St. Louis factory with only one exterior rear view mirror (LH side). Adding a second mirror to passenger side by dealer/subsequent owner wasn't that unusual--especially on convertibles where the soft top rear window would 'haze up' with time/use....
My 67 coupe has a right side mirror installed by me years ago. It is a correct "Dealer Added" option. Let me know if you need photo etec. allanwicklund@hotmail.com
