1966 CORVETTE

My VIN # located under the glove box has a 6 digit #. The owners manuel has a correct # of digits and matches the engine #. Is there another place on the car/frame that has the VIN # if so where?

The starter is energized by the purple wire from the ignition switch, which goes through the fuse block and the inboard multiple connector below the master cylinder, and has another in-line connector in the area above the wiper motor before it gets to the starter. Check each of those connectors and terminals for corrosion or looseness to ensure continuity from the ignition switch to the terminal on the starter solenoid. If you have a Powerglide, also check the neutral safety switch for continuity/corrosion. If you haven't done it already, check and clean both ends of both battery cable connections.
