All were satin black, unless equiped with side exhaust, in which case there were no rocker panel covers.

      Larry-----

68-69 rocker moldings are a 2 piece arrangement. The "lower" (and larger) piece is fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) and is painted a semi-flat black. The upper molding is aluminum. The upper edge of this narrow molding is a natural aluminum finish. The bottom portion of the molding is painted semi flat black like the lower molding.

ALL four pieces are GM-discontinued but, I believe, are available in reproduction.

The moldings which are one piece and of brushed aluminum finish are the 70-77 moldings. Sometimes, folks "retrofitted" these moldings to 68-69 models. However, as far as I know, NO 68-69, including late 69s, were ever originally so-equipped.

Thanks guys...Just checked, I have the original rockers. I didn't know they were fibre glass.
