C! Ammeter Wiring

I am installing a new wiring harness in my '58. I know the wiring schematics are incorrect. I have the double red wire from the engine harness on the passenger terminal and the black wire from the engine harness and the red wire from the dash harness on the driver's side terminal. Am I correct? As always, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The corrected diagram shows only ONE wire on the driver's side terminal - the 12-ga. BLACK wire (from the battery cable stud on the starter solenoid, the main power feed to the car). The other (red) wires are all on the passenger side terminal, feeding the load circuits.

If you haven't already considered it, I'd recommend adding a 16-ga. fusible link where that 12-ga. black wire connects to the starter solenoid; Corvettes prior to '67 have NO protection on that primary power feed circuit, and if it shorts to ground, the result is lots of white smoke, fried harness, and the possibility of a fire.

As always, thanks John! Yours and others advice and input for the three years of my project has been exceedingly beneficial. I will connect the wires as you describe and put a fusible link on the 12-gauge black wire.
