    Build Date of 1964

Does anyone have a site which lists how to determine the build date of my 1964 vet? I need to order a new radiator so need the approx date code. Have tried a number of searchers, but either special software is required or one needs to purchase a book. At the price of a new radiator ($800) there must be a free method to find number, OH the VIN is --S113901. The motor was built on Feb 21.
    thank you!

The way I figure it, your car was built about the 21st of February, 1964. The body build date can be found on your trim tag. However, I don't see how this date is relevent to which radiator the car should be equipped with. ALL 1964 Corvettes used radiator GM #3155316.

The "Birthday Book" sez 13901 was built on March 23rd (give or take a few days); you'll find a birthday calculator on the Wisconsin NCRS site, http://www.ncrswi.bizland.com/

        Re: Build Date of 1964

        Hello Alan,

I have a January 18, 1964 build date '64 convertible serial number 109258. The radiator in my car which is the original is date 63M (December 1963), one month prior to the car being built. A DeWitt's reproduction radiator date 64A (January 1964) would be in my opinion correctly date for your car's February 21, 1964 build date. As described in the other response to you question, all 1964 Corvettes used the same radiator part number 3155316.

Also, the DeWitt's repro radiators have come down some in price, you should be able to shop the Corvette vendors and get a price lower than $800.

        Best Regards,
