been a while but need help again---in process on my restoration of my 71 cpe. and just bought a 69 camaro z-28---i know!!but this car is done-needs no work so i can enjoy it till the vette is finished---any way---i would like to know if the trim tag decodes the same way and in response to an earlier question of mine someone helped me with some POP info---decoding and recognizing a replacement--any info would be helpful----feel free to email me private to save clutter on the board--thanks v5.inc@mindspring.com

Your copy of the '71 AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) will decode, item by item and give you Hollarith field designation as to what is embossed on the Protect-o-Plate and how to interpret it....
