I need some help in identifying original Corvette buckets. Do originals have any stampings on them???? Are lefts and rights the same ??? Is there a screw on the back for a ground even though the AIM doesn't show a ground??? Are Corvette buckets the same as passenger car ??? Is the hole for the wiring grommet a special size ??? Any help is appreciated.

Re: 58/62 headlight buckets
Lefts and rights are identical, except toward the upper center, there is a small peg on the back side the indexes with a hole in the body. The peg has a small L or R on the end, indicating which bucket it is. It should NOT have a ground wire on it--that's passenger car.- Top

Re: 58/62 headlight buckets
The buckets in question have the small hole w/ the L and R studs as Mike describes. They also have a 29 stamped on the back (about 5/8" high) and a GUIDE, Made in USA stamping w/ the GUIDE in script. Do the stampings sound correct.?????- Top
