1968 A/C and power window wiring diagrams

I have a 1968 vette with A/C and power windows. The prior owner has cut off the connectors that go to the power window relay and the A/C heater switch. I have the assembly manuel that shows the wiring diagram for the basic car but none of the accessories i.e. color of wires. It does show the routing of the a/c and power windows but not the color of the wires. I called Lectric Limited but they would not share there wiring blue prints for these two accessories. I guess I don't blame them after all they are in the business of making these harnesses for sale. I would buy them if the harness was missing but all I need is the connectors and which color wire connects to which post of the relays and switches. I do understand that there is an Accessory Instlation Manuel out there some were but no one seems to know where. Any help in finding these (A/C -Heater and power window) wiring diagrams would be appreciated. Thanks Jay

      Jay,

On page 325 of the 68 assembly manual, there is a wiring diagram for the A/C option. The heater portion, I would think is part of the standard wiring diagram (p. 275-278). I couldn't find anything for power windows. Maybe an archive search will help.

        I'll vouch for these diagrams!

I got one of Don's laminated diagrams for my '58 and have to say it's about time a color diagram was available! It makes a huge difference because tracing those lines in black and white is needlessly difficult and time consuming. Anyone who's done any wiring knows what I'm talking about!

For my '58, it's also nice that the power window schematic and the light bulb callouts are also included.

I don't see why Lektrik Limited didn't color the lines on the one they sell (which I also bought.) I remember after getting my color diagram from Don, I told him he needed to make them available to the NCRS membership. It's that much of an improvement!

I got one of Don's wiring diagrams for my 65. Money weel spent. It made wire tracing and everything else a breeze. The colors make it easy to use. I didn't know he had them laminated I would have got mine that way. The only I told Don about his diagrams is that he sells them to cheap. Mike

            Ditto to what Mike said.

I have a '63, '64 and '65 diagram from Don. They are great!

              Re: What he said

Don stopped by and delivered my wiring diagram for 1970 personally. It looks so good that it is mounted on on my rec room wall, with illumination. Don's main problem is that he doesn't charge enough. They are easily woprth double what he charges.

Don, if you ever make one for '73

please let me have serial number 1. I'll pay extra for an autographed copy!
