new felts are just too fat. anybody know source of "correct" felts? i ve tried to "age" these w dremmel to make them thinner and still having great problems getting window to go up and down gracefully. thanks d

Denny, I'm guessing you are referring to the felt on the rear channel. These felts are known in the past to be too thick. Suggest you get a piece of beige mohair material (like on the bottom of the convertable top that snugs up to the deck) and shape it into a "U" and 3M glue it into the channel. I've been told that the fuzzy half of Velco can also be used. I used the mohair, windows are fine. Regards,- Top

actually i was referring to the fuzzies along the window glass sides but will check the channels. i know its the sides also as when i put the last stainless trim on , it squezes the fuzzies against the glass and makes the window even harder to roll up and down. i ve talked to others that had the same problem and they shaved off some of the felt and i did that ==it helped a little but its gettin down to where it shows and its ugly. i thought i just got some bad felts and there may be better out there. thanks. d- Top
